Compact four-channel DR-1204P
NVR developed by IDIS
IDIS has launched is latest NVR. Designated the
DR-1204P, the company states that the new
model is packed with an array of essential and
easy-to-use features.
The DR-1204P supports up to 5 MP HD
recording and one month’s footage retention
and uses the IDIS Intelligent Codec to deliver
“significant savings” on bandwidth and storage,
particularly when used with Motion Adaptive
Transmission, in those areas where there’s little
to no motion and out of hours.
In addition, IDIS DirectIP solutions reduce the
burden of implementation and training time,
while ensuring lower maintenance and energy
costs and an extended product lifecycle.
The new four-channel NVR also comes with
totally cost-free video management software,
IDIS Center and mobile Apps. This means
absolutely zero licensing costs without any
ongoing service or maintenance fees.

Todd Research brings to
market TR15 + Smart Scan X-
ray scanner with “big
detection capabilities”
The latest generation TR15 + Smart
Scan cabinet scanner from Todd
Research signifies “a new benchmark”
for threat detection and image
management in compact cabinet
scanners. At the heart of the TR15-CT4
is a completely new software platform
for functionality management and an
intuitive user interface delivered via a
22” touch screen monitor.
A high quality digital camera and
enhanced X-ray generator deliver
superior image quality for greater
detection. The user-friendly touch
screen interface provides easy access to
all enhancement tools, thereby enabling
rapid image processing.
Thanks to a three-point density alert,
system operators can define the elements of
a suspect device, such as metal components
including detonators and batteries.
The Enhanced Powder Detection software
also allows greater recognition of powderbased
and bio threats.
Images are stored locally on an automatic
basis or on an external hard drive for easy
reference and verification. For the end user,
‘one-touch’ e-mail functionality enables the
streamlined escalation of potential suspect
images to security professionals.

Extended Power over Ethernet
cameras cover new distances
thanks to Dahua Technology
Dahua Technology has launched a range of
extended Power over Ethernet (ePoE) cameras,
network switches and network recorders that
enable integrators to go beyond the usual
transmission distances.
Dahua ePoE IP products support up to 800
metres between camera and network switch or
NVR. This solution overcomes the limitations
of traditional Ethernet and PoE, which restrict
cable runs between network ports to 100
metres. This eliminates the need for Ethernet
extension units and intermediate repeater
network switching.
These new products are ideal for seamless
analogue-to-IP migration involving IP video,
audio, control and power transmission over
coax cable using an ePoE-BNC adaptor. The
extended PoE transmission
achieves distances of 800 metres
at 10 Mbps/13 W or 300 metres
at 100 Mbps/25.4 W.
Dahua has developed a wide
selection of cameras using the
new approach, covering
resolutions from 1080P to 4K and
in many formats, including box,
bullet, dome and eyeball models.
Integrators and their end user
customers also benefit from the
company’s varifocal and fixed
lens types, which meet most
project requirements.
The ePoE Series has been
developed from Dahua’s 3.0 portfolio and
inherits class-leading functionality, including
Smart Video Detection (tripwire, intrusion and
abandoned/missing detection).
