Santa Claus is coming
to Homer Glen
Area residents should break out
their winter coats, hats and gloves,
and bring the whole family to join
Mayor George Yukich, Village trustees
and Village staff, as they welcome
the holiday season.
The annual Village of Homer Glen
Holiday Tree Lighting event is slated
to take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday,
Nov. 30.
Residents can enjoy the sounds of
the season and join the Homer Show
Choir in singing Christmas carols, as
well as meet Santa and share a Christmas
wish. The first one hundred children
will receive a special goody bag
from Fannie May. Children also can
make a take-home holiday ornament.
Participants are encouraged to
dress for the weather. Hot chocolate
and cookies will be provided to help
keep people warm.
The Village holiday tree is located
behind the Village Hall in Heritage
Park, 14240 W. 151st St.
A visit with Santa and a craft activity
is to take place in the Village’s
Community Room.
