Thank you to all who have bought Children’s<br />
Society Christmas Cards and other items so<br />
far. Orders to the value of over £450 have<br />
been made and the cards etc should be with<br />
us soon. It is not too late to order cards or<br />
other items such as Advent calendars and<br />
Advent candles, gift bags and wrapping<br />
paper. If you don’t see me in Church you<br />
can always give me a ring on 842257. Last year 49p in the £ on card orders went<br />
to the work of The Society, so buying cards or other items is a very easy way to<br />
support this work.<br />
Thank you, too, to those who have handed in their House Boxes. If you haven’t yet<br />
done so, please give your Box to Jenny or to me as soon as possible. Jenny would<br />
like to have all the Boxes in by Sunday 5 th <strong>November</strong>. If you would like your Box to<br />
be collected, please give me a ring, 842257.<br />
Sunday 3 rd December is Advent Sunday and at 3pm the annual Christingle Service<br />
will take place in St Thomas’. Those of you familiar with the Service will know what<br />
a joyful – and sometimes surprising – occasion this is with a large congregation and<br />
the children of Market Rasen Primary School taking part and there’s always the<br />
excitement of the lighting of the Christingle candles! I hope that you will be able to<br />
join in the excitement this year. All money collected at the Service goes to support<br />
the work of The Children’s Society.<br />
