News from Legsby Primary School
It’s half term already! And Legsby School has been exceptionally busy since
returning from the summer break. The children were delighted to find that in
addition to the newly built Legsby Lodge, the outside play area has also been
refurbished with a brand new trim trail. As ever, the children have been working
hard but have still found time to get out and
about in the community. We had a fabulous
Harvest celebration in Legsby Church at
which the pupils enjoyed sharing their work.
The audience were also treated to the first
performance of our choir after a term’s worth
of lessons with Mrs Braddish. It was an
impressive performance and their voices
filled the church beautifully. Thank you to all
the parents and carers who kindly donated
the items for the Nomad Trust.
We also sent a really enjoyable morning
collecting and juicing apples, while learning all
about the history of agriculture in Lincolnshire.
The children have also been doing their bit for
good causes. Firstly we raised money for
Jeans for Genes Day by coming to school in
non-uniform. And secondly, we dressed up as
our favourite countries - this was to raise
money to help former pupil Julia Randle
achieve her goal of working with Project Trust
after completing her A levels. Good luck Julia.
We have also welcomed two new staff members to the team, Miss Vout and Mrs
Gramson.
Finally, a warm welcome to the seven Busy Bees who have joined receptions this
term - they will be joined by a further 6 in January. That’s almost a swarm!
Thank you to all who have supported us this term - it is always appreciated.
Miss Dabb and Mr Murray
Co-head Teachers.
