November 2017 Thank you to all who have bought Children’s Society Christmas Cards and other items so far. Orders to the value of over £450 have been made and the cards etc should be with us soon. It is not too late to order cards or other items such as Advent calendars and Advent candles, gift bags and wrapping paper. If you don’t see me in Church you can always give me a ring on 842257. Last year 49p in the £ on card orders went to the work of The Society, so buying cards or other items is a very easy way to support this work. Thank you, too, to those who have handed in their House Boxes. If you haven’t yet done so, please give your Box to Jenny or to me as soon as possible. Jenny would like to have all the Boxes in by Sunday 5 th November. If you would like your Box to be collected, please give me a ring, 842257. Sunday 3 rd December is Advent Sunday and at 3pm the annual Christingle Service will take place in St Thomas’. Those of you familiar with the Service will know what a joyful – and sometimes surprising – occasion this is with a large congregation and the children of Market Rasen Primary School taking part and there’s always the excitement of the lighting of the Christingle candles! I hope that you will be able to join in the excitement this year. All money collected at the Service goes to support the work of The Children’s Society.
