charity, this single brings joy and

the season, of love and
understanding. Merry Christmas
everyone. ...You can’t get much
better than that.
Theatre
Pantomimes
Who doesn’t want to go the
theatre and see an entertaining
and hilarious couple of hours of
silly stories? Jack and the
Beanstalk, Cinderella and
Aladdin are some of the classics
but all it takes is fun costumes
and lots of silly antics to make a
fantastic panto.
‘The Nutcracker’
This ballet not only makes you
feel cultured and sophisticated,
but also provides an opportunity
to appreciate some wonderful
choreography. Inspiring
decades worth of pop culture,
the Nutcracker has left it’s mark
on the work and should be
celebrated with a viewing of the
classic version.

‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens
A must-read for a Christmas novel fan … and a Year 11 GCSE student. For
some classes it’s compulsory for your exam. Nonetheless, this classic tells
the heartwarming story of Scrooge finding the true meaning of Christmas
through the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Also, it set the
stage for the Muppets version, so well done, Dickens.
‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas!’ by Dr. Seuss
A fun, nostalgic story of all the Whos down in Whoville. The Grinch is a
great story to read throughout the Christmas period with family, younger
siblings or by yourself. Beautifully illustrated and entertaining to read, it
really is a great time.
