Opening Miss Fletcher Head of the Inkling Within a blink of an eye, we are back round to the release of another volume of The Inkling. It has been incredibly encouraging to receive such wonderful feedback from the first volume and this has undoubtedly spurred the team on to produce another cracking one just in time for Christmas. Time pressures, mock season and sixth form applications have weighed heavily on our editing team and I must offer sincere thanks for their continued dedication to the magazine. Our Monday sessions have continued to be a whirlwind of ideas and laughter, sometimes - mostly - hysterical, as we piece together the volume you’re currently perusing. An extended thank you to all staff members who have contributed and to students from across year groups who have submitted work yet again. The success of the magazine really does rely on the interests and devotion of our students and I hope you enjoy our second offering as much, if not more, as our first. Merry Christmas and enjoy this early present from the team!
After the triumph of the first publication, I am delighted that the second volume of The Inkling is ready for us to read over the Christmas holiday. The first volume was exceptionally well received and, like many bands, the students have had to dig deep to prepare their “difficult” second album. Mr Hampson Head of school The Christmas edition is released at the end of another busy term and while students, parents, carers, staff and friends of the school enjoy the festive season, the second volume of The Inkling will be the perfect accompaniment to another mince pie or turkey sandwich. Congratulations again to the students who have contributed and to the The Inkling editorial team who have met their end of term deadline in such style.
