UW-WAUKESHA
Working in Adaptive Challenges
Instructor, Mark Dominick
If you want to understand and practice
how to be a better leader and team player
in chaotic, constantly changing environments,
this class will help guide you to
excel in those environments. Today’s problems
are complex and growing as our technologies
and environments integrate and
merge. These types of problems are known
as Adaptive Challenges, and reaching their
solution space requires skill sets that work
in adaptive challenges versus technical
problems. We will help to build the critical
1st steps to master these skills (self-awareness
and self-monitoring) and use Crucial
Conversations® to practice these skills so
you can be more you and a leader in these
challenges. This experiential course will
meet on campus and off-campus meetings
as part of the coursework. Students will
have a list of text materials.
Class will be held in Fall 2018. Space
will be limited. Please visit our website to
pre-register for this professional development
opportunity. Students will receive a
UW Completion Certificate and 2.0 CEUs.
