NEW! UW Summer College for Kids Camps!<br />
Our new summer camps are designed to meet the needs of highly motivated children between the ages of 8-14. We are eager to provide<br />
safe, fun, hands-on learning that will provide a foundation of skills that students will continue to build upon throughout their lives. These<br />
main skills: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity are the 4 C’s that employers are looking for. Our goal is provide<br />
students with these key skills needed for success and individual growth.<br />
Our camps provide students with the ability to:<br />
· Learn at an appropriate level and pace through interesting activities<br />
· Investigate a broad variety of ideas & topics<br />
· Experience creative thinking & problem solving<br />
· Seek practical applications of knowledge<br />
· Develop self-awareness & acceptance of one’s own capacities, interests, and needs<br />
Summer camp topics include:<br />
Computer Programming camp- Minecraft Gamers and Website Design<br />
Biomedical Engineering Camp- Organ Systems I - Hitting the Funny Bone, and Eyeing Virtual Reality<br />
Classic Engineering Camp – Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering<br />
Mechanical Engineering Camp – Motion Commotion and Animal Frenzy<br />
Advanced Manufacturing Camp – Ah! The Power of Math and Computers and Communication<br />
UW Summer College for Kids camps will consist of two workshops each for both age groups, ages 11-14 camps will offer more advanced<br />
content (ADV). See below for descriptions and schedule. Check our website for more in-depth workshop descriptions! Students will need<br />
to bring a bag lunch and drink. Students will receive information on higher education opportunities and a camp gift.<br />
All camps will meet Monday through Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm, $299*.<br />

*Students not picked up promptly at 4pm will be charged additional fees to cover additional staff expense.<br />

Classic Engineering for Kids Camp!<br />
Available for Ages 8-14<br />
Our classics showcase two important fields of engineering that have fueled development<br />
over the last few centuries through the industrial revolution, civic infrastructure projects,<br />
access to clean water, human flight and reach outside planet Earth. The discoveries and inventions<br />
continue to shape our worlds. We will head out of the classroom to see firsthand<br />
how both civil and environmental engineers work! This camp consists of two workshop<br />
programs, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering; advanced content is provided<br />
for ages 11-14. Please bring a bag lunch and drink.<br />

Mechanical Engineering Camp!<br />
Available for Ages 8-14<br />
One of the oldest and broadest fields of engineering, Mechanical<br />
deals with design and production of machine and tools. It<br />
fueled the industrial revolution and today mechanical engineers<br />
are pursuing developments in biomedics, nanotechnology, and<br />
mechatronics.<br />
Participants venture into the land of mechanics in this exciting<br />
series of hands-on / minds-on programs. This camp consists of<br />
two workshop programs, Motion Commotion and Animal Frenzy; advanced content is<br />
provided in workshops for ages 11-14. Please bring a bag lunch and drink.<br />
