NEW! UW Summer College for Kids Camps!
Our new summer camps are designed to meet the needs of highly motivated children between the ages of 8-14. We are eager to provide
safe, fun, hands-on learning that will provide a foundation of skills that students will continue to build upon throughout their lives. These
main skills: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity are the 4 C’s that employers are looking for. Our goal is provide
students with these key skills needed for success and individual growth.
Our camps provide students with the ability to:
· Learn at an appropriate level and pace through interesting activities
· Investigate a broad variety of ideas & topics
· Experience creative thinking & problem solving
· Seek practical applications of knowledge
· Develop self-awareness & acceptance of one’s own capacities, interests, and needs
Summer camp topics include:
Computer Programming camp- Minecraft Gamers and Website Design
Biomedical Engineering Camp- Organ Systems I - Hitting the Funny Bone, and Eyeing Virtual Reality
Classic Engineering Camp – Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering
Mechanical Engineering Camp – Motion Commotion and Animal Frenzy
Advanced Manufacturing Camp – Ah! The Power of Math and Computers and Communication
UW Summer College for Kids camps will consist of two workshops each for both age groups, ages 11-14 camps will offer more advanced
content (ADV). See below for descriptions and schedule. Check our website for more in-depth workshop descriptions! Students will need
to bring a bag lunch and drink. Students will receive information on higher education opportunities and a camp gift.
All camps will meet Monday through Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm, $299*.

*Students not picked up promptly at 4pm will be charged additional fees to cover additional staff expense.

Classic Engineering for Kids Camp!
Available for Ages 8-14
Our classics showcase two important fields of engineering that have fueled development
over the last few centuries through the industrial revolution, civic infrastructure projects,
access to clean water, human flight and reach outside planet Earth. The discoveries and inventions
continue to shape our worlds. We will head out of the classroom to see firsthand
how both civil and environmental engineers work! This camp consists of two workshop
programs, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering; advanced content is provided
for ages 11-14. Please bring a bag lunch and drink.

Mechanical Engineering Camp!
Available for Ages 8-14
One of the oldest and broadest fields of engineering, Mechanical
deals with design and production of machine and tools. It
fueled the industrial revolution and today mechanical engineers
are pursuing developments in biomedics, nanotechnology, and
mechatronics.
Participants venture into the land of mechanics in this exciting
series of hands-on / minds-on programs. This camp consists of
two workshop programs, Motion Commotion and Animal Frenzy; advanced content is
provided in workshops for ages 11-14. Please bring a bag lunch and drink.
