Mt Pleasant Memorial Community Centre & Residents’ Association<br />
(MPMCCRA) has recently opened their new, award winning,<br />
community centre and is now seeking to fill two part time roles to<br />
support the efficient operation of the facility and promote activities<br />
within the community with the assistance of the existing Centre<br />
Administrator.<br />
We are looking for professional, experienced, enthusiastic and<br />
motivated individuals interested in being contracted for these roles.<br />
▷ Community Centre Manager<br />
To manage the facility and supervise coordination of community<br />
activities for the Association. This is a part time position of<br />
15 to 20 hours a week.<br />
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):<br />
• Operational management of the Community Centre.<br />
• Facility management.<br />
• Supporting the treasurer with financial management.<br />
• Marketing and promotion.<br />
• Maintaining excellent communication with our community.<br />
• Supporting activities of the Association.<br />
You will have:<br />
• Experience in community facility management and coordinating<br />
facility hirers.<br />
• Understanding of community development and community issues.<br />
• Excellent relationship management skills.<br />
• Experience in writing funding applications.<br />
• Experience in marketing and promotion.<br />
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements for a community<br />
facility<br />
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.<br />
▷ Community Development Co-ordinator<br />
To support the committee with co-ordination of a range of<br />
social, cultural and recreational activities to keep the community<br />
connected. This is a part time position of 10 to 15 hours a week.<br />
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):<br />
• Coordination of community development events.<br />
• Management of the weekly Farmer’s Market.<br />
• Applications for funding.<br />
• Communication with residents.<br />
• Community representation.<br />
You will have:<br />
• Experience in community development and an understanding of<br />
community issues.<br />
• Proven experience in event co-ordination.<br />
• Excellent relationship management skills.<br />
• Experience in writing funding applications.<br />
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.<br />
