enjoying a sausage for dinner.<br />

The concert will feature the CYO<br />
concert band playing The Year of<br />
the Dragon by Sparke, the CYO<br />
string orchestra playing Vaughan<br />
Williams-Fantasia on a Theme<br />
by Thomas Tallis, and the full<br />
orchestra performing orchestral<br />
favourites by Hindemith, Brahms<br />

The Scottish Country Dancing<br />
national body has declared June a<br />
“come dancing” month. Six clubs<br />
in Christchurch will join forces<br />
and hold a Ceilidh, a social event<br />
with Scottish music and singing,<br />
traditional dancing and storytelling.<br />
The Scottish Society, Hoon<br />
Hay Club, The Christchurch Club,<br />
Burnside Club and Caledonian<br />
Society are hosting the event. Be<br />
welcomed by a piper, observe an<br />
address to the haggis and enjoy a<br />
night of Ceilidh-style dancing. Flat<br />
shoes required.<br />
