Science Snippets in the Library
Today, 3.30- 4.30pm
Science Alive! presents a free
after school science programme
in selected libraries across the
city. There will be fun science
activities and new interesting
topics each week. The educators
lead children through interactive
activities to stimulate interest in
science. The session is suitable
for children aged five-10.

Wednesday
Go along to the library and
celebrate the Year of the Rooster
with a fun craft activity. Take
your pre-school children along
to learn how to make their own
colourful paper rooster to take
home.

Shakespeare: Two Gentlemen of
Verona
Wednesday to February 18
For this year’s Summer
Shakespeare Festival, Top Dog
Theatre present another classic,
but lesser known Shakespeare
play, Two Gentlemen of
Verona. Take the chance to see
some classic theatre and enjoy
seeing the tale brought to life
in the peaceful setting of Mona
Vale. This year’s show is directed
by Anna Willows.

Knit ‘n’ Yarn

Join in the friendly craft corner
sessions at Linwood Library.
Take your knitting, crochet
or other craft project and be
social with other like-minded
crafty people. Learn some new
skills, help others and find some
creative ideas for a new project.
Beginners are welcome at the
craft group. Pick up some books
for your next craft project while

SPECIAL STORIES: Fendalton Library is embracing the
Lunar New Year with a special story time event dedicated to
the celebrations. Today from 10.30am until 11am the library is
hosting bilingual stories and rhymes in English and Mandarin.
Learn more about Chinese culture with this event. Following
the stories there will be a craft activity, keeping within the
theme of the new year celebrations. This event is aimed at
pre-school aged children. It’s a free event.
