Reading to Dogs<br />

Tuesday, 3.30-4.30pm<br />

These sessions have<br />

been designed to provide a<br />

relaxed and non-threatening<br />

atmosphere to encourage<br />

children to practice their<br />

reading skills and develop<br />

a love of reading. This<br />

programme uses dogs who<br />

are pets of the city council’s<br />

animal management team<br />

and have been trained and<br />

tested for health, safety and<br />

temperament. Sessions are 15<br />

PAPANUI NEIGHBOURS DAY: Neighbours Day Aoteoroa is a<br />

national event to celebrate local communities. The Papanui<br />

Baptist Church and other organisations will join together to hold<br />

a fair in the church grounds. There will be fun for children, food<br />

and entertainment. It will take place on Sunday, 12.30-2.30pm.<br />

Entry will be free.
