Zane Crofts – So old stupid council rules come before children’s safety. What kind of world are we living in if we’d always followed the rules and hadn’t pushed for change. We’d still have slavery, women not allowed to vote and gays going to prison. Rules change with the times and should be based on common sense and looking after the community and the environment. Tony Oosthuysen – Put red Judith Collins – Why aren’t there more arrow turning lights at intersections then maybe there wouldn’t be so many racing the red light. Lynda Byrnes – There are a lot of intersections on main roads, where you never get a chance to turn right if you don’t run the red light. Giving them an extra few seconds will make this less dangerous for everyone. If they can’t bring in more turning arrows, this is an ideal option. Vaughan Winsloe – So it hasn’t actually “thwarted” any red light runners at all, it’s just given them a longer period to break the law. Chris Todd – Run a red light, instant one month loss of licence and a $1000 fine.
