Holidays spent<br />
in the garden<br />
Even though it was the school holidays, more than 40 pupils<br />
and their parents turned up at Wairakei School to take part<br />
in a gardening session. Activities included rock painting,<br />
planting seeds, potting plants, making newspaper planters<br />
and weeding. Principal Shane Buckner thanked the teachers<br />
who organised the event for taking time out of their<br />
holidays. “Also a special thanks to the parents and pupils<br />
who came and took part,” he said.<br />
