In Memoriam
Carol Ann Moore
Carol Ann Moore, 75, of
Orland Park, died on Jan.
7. She was born in Chicago
on Jan. 3, 1943, to Leonard
and Louise Moore. She
dedicated her life to the Lord
through service to others.
She provided loving care to
her parents, sisters, brothersin-law
and friends during
illnesses and at death. She
taught elementary grades at
St. Agnes School in Springfield,
St. Michael School
in Orland Park, and Lee R.
Foster Elementary School
in Oak Forest. At the third
school, she also served as an
assistant principal. She was
a faithful member of St. Julie
Billiart Church in Tinley
Park, and of St. Columcille
Church in Sullivan. A conversationalist,
a host and a
giver in so many ways, Carol
blessed the lives of her beloved
family and many dear
friends. She was preceded in
death by her parents; sisters,
Elaine Kohler and Camille
Korabik; brothers-in-law,
Vernon Kohler and John
Korabik; and nephew, Mark
Kohler. She is survived by
a nephew, Jeff (Maureen)
Kohler; great-nieces, Emily,
Kathleen (John), Clare
(Sean) and Madeline; and
great-great niece and nephew,
Rachel and Timothy.
She cherished her lifelong
friendships with the Rev.
John Sohm and Marge Del-
Priore. Giving of herself
completely, even in death,
she requested that her body
be given to the Gift of Hope
and to the Anatomical Gift
Association of Illinois. Memorials
may be made to either
of these organizations.
A Memorial Mass was to be
held at St. Julie Billiart. A
second memorial service is
to be celebrated in Sullivan
at a future date.
Peter Plante
Peter A. Plante, 65, of
Frankfort, died on Jan. 11.
He was an amazing husband
to his wife, Patty, and a great
dad to his three sons, a fun
loving brother to his three
siblings and loving Papa
to his seven grandchildren.
Known as “Uncle Pete” to
so many nieces and nephews,
friends, and especially
to the children at the school
he worked at in the maintenance
department, Plante
was known for his loyalty,
love of family and a crazy
sense of humor. For most of
hiss life he worked as a furniture
technician, restoring
and refinishing furniture and
served at his church for over
30 years.

graduate of Calumet High
School. After raising her six
children, Dolan worked for
the Chicago Catholic newspaper.
A fantastic cook, she
enjoyed travel, long phone
conversations, and lunch
with the girls. She cherished
every moment spent with
her dear family. Internment
at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
