‘UNEXPLAINED’:
Candyce Lewis
was found dead in

morning. She was

mum who had a heart of

Mother of three found dead in bath

A WOMAN found dead in
her Bishopdale home is believed
to be mother of three Candyce
Lewis.
Her body was discovered in
the bath of a Charnwood Cres
property, in the early hours of
yesterday morning, The Star has
learned.
Police were called to the
property at about 2.40am

investigation throughout the
morning, and at noon a hearse
arrived to take the body away.
Detective Senior Sergeant
Mike Ford said a post-mortem
is under way and that is all the
information they can release at
this stage.
The death was described as
‘unexplained’ yesterday morning.
Tributes for Ms Lewis, also
known as ‘Candy’, started to
flow on Facebook on Wednesday
afternoon.
One person posted: “R.I.P
candyce (sic) u will never be
forgotten xoxo.”
Another said: “RIP Candy gone
but never forgotten x.”
A friend and neighbour spread
rose petals over the driveway of
the property as a tribute to his
friend.
He described her as an
‘amazing mum’ who had a
‘massive heart of gold’.
The city council would be
asked if a mural could be painted
dedicated to her in the alleyway
beside her home, he said.
EAGLE-EYED pedestrians
have found something a bit
perplexing about some of the
city’s traffic light crossing
instructions.
It appears instructions on
what to do, well, cancelled
each other out.
At the the top of the
signal on the corner of
Colombo and Cashel Sts, it
directed people to ‘press the
button’.
But below the button it
said ‘please do not touch’.
Huh?
While some may have
thought the city council is
losing its marbles, it turns
out the stickers had been left
by persons unnamed.

Transport Operations
Centre manager Ryan
Cooney: “Council staff
have been made aware of
a number of stickers and
they were removed yesterday
(Tuesday).”
