The team won the silver medal at the Southern Inter- Provincial Series (IPS) Tournament in December and have continued to develop steadily over the past few weeks despite a number of injury challenges in the build up. With a combination of competitive drive, understanding and commitment, coupled with the support of their manager and coaches, the girls have the potential to upset some of the big hitting North Island teams, including a strong Otago side who they lost to in the Southern IPS tournament. The team will be one to watch at Nationals and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Currently they’re playing in the Prebbleton Touch module in the Open Women’s Latest Christchurch news at www.star.kiwi Team ready for challenge at Nationals Junior National Tournament Auckland, 9-11 February, 2018 grade where they’re tested weekly against some quality competition. The boys are out to avenge last year’s results as they train towards a hopeful national title. The team has a good mix of new and previous players which provides the team with some much needed experience. The boys have been training with good intensity and an even better attitude which is putting them in good stead to turn some heads and achieve some rewarding results.
