DEADLINE Queen!
There is ample reason to love every edition of Close Up Magazine but
this one, is one of my favourites as it celebrates the start of Spring at
every level. With longer and warmer days just around the corner and
with Mother’s Day and Weddings making an appearance this issue is truly
“blooming’ with advice and inspiration and getting you ready for the new
season. This edition is all about transition from current fashion and beauty
to fresh ideas to inspire your home.
I am eager to fill you in on all the exciting features we have this month
(look out for all our competitions that you can win right off our pages)
and I can honestly say that this edition has been a true delight to bring
together and lots of fun. I mentioned that it was an edition focused on
transition and when we take a closer look at this month’s cover star – the
incredibly talented Laura Whitmore – we are inspired. She’s got years
of experience interviewing the biggest names in music, and today as a
popular TV host, the Irish beauty has appeared in Strictly Come Dancing
as well as previously hosting I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! NOW! on
ITV. For the past five years, Laura’s braved the snakes and the spiders as
she brought us all the jungle gossip. She’s now gracing our televisions once
again embarking on her new adventure hosting the latest reality T.V show
Survival of The Fittest on ITV2. Yes we all love Laura and with all this mind
you can only imagine how thrilled we are to have Laura gracing the cover
of our March edition.
Today I write my editor’s letter about an hour before we go to print. This
is late even by my standards and my wonderful team who ensure the
magazine meets its print deadlines on time have been keeping me on
my toes. What would I do without them? The editor’s letter is almost the
last thing to be written for an issue and I am not quite the deadline queen
I claim to be when it comes to my own words. But, thank you everyone,
readers, collaborators, advertisers and of course the Close Up team. All
have made this magazine something to be proud of. Enjoy the issue, its
destined to appeal to our loyal readers and new.
