Education 2018 Short Courses - Changing it Up by Jacquee Wilson Now that most of you have taken the short courses we’ve offered over the last few years, we’re making a few adjustments to give you a chance to expand your knowledge on these important soft skills in a more laid-back environment. This year, we’re going to have brown bag discussions where we’ll watch some quick video clips, do some fun activities and talk about how we can continue to hone our skills in the areas you requested on the short course survey, which are: Oldies but Goodies • Public Speaking • Article Writing • Incident Investigations • Effective Team Communication New Topics • Active Listening • Resolving Conflict with a Coworker • Seeking First to Understand • Writing Appropriate Emails • Telephone Etiquette • Documenting Field Notes (Using Your Phone) We will continue to make these sessions available via GoToWebinar for those who can’t come in person, and we will also be recording them for you to watch when you have time.
