Business Acumen for Project Management Simulation<br />
Introduction<br />
Welcome to the PAREXEL Business Acumen for Project Management Workshop.<br />
A core part of the program is the EnviroAid Business Simulation. The simulation is designed to be an<br />
integrative experience, allowing you to explore <strong>and</strong> practice decision making skills <strong>and</strong> behaviors in a<br />
challenging business setting.<br />
You <strong>and</strong> your fellow participants will be organized into teams. Collectively, your team will assume the<br />
role of a Project Leader in a fictional company called EnviroAid. The simulation will present your team –<br />
the Project Leader – with a variety of financial <strong>and</strong> operational issues <strong>and</strong> challenges. Our class will have<br />
teams working in parallel in the same role <strong>and</strong> with the same information. During the program we will<br />
compare the decisions <strong>and</strong> results of the teams to deepen our underst<strong>and</strong>ing of the financial dynamics<br />
of leading a project <strong>and</strong> the key levers of financial performance that a Project Leader can influence.<br />
