Creativity
One of the highlights of any past World
Congress has been performances and
exhibits by Subud artists from around the
world - and Freiburg is no different. From
poetry to art, music, film, dance, song, theatre and
more, members will share their talents and explore
creativity through workshops and presentations.
However, a major difference for the 2018
Congress is a landmark change that will see the
Wings playing a major combined part in the way
the program runs and the potential outcome for
members able to explore their past and present
to create a new future. Peter Jenkins and the
Yes Quest team will give a series of interactive
workshops based on a fourfold approach that
links to the Wings and their purpose of providing a
guiding framework for any activity or endeavor in
our lives.
During the congress, we will explore the four areas
of our Health, our Service to Others, our Creativity,
and our Activity or Enterprise. These four elements
are both an inner symbol of our humanity and an
outer framework to guide our action in the world.
Congress will provide an opportunity for each of us
to explore our connection with each of these areas
– as well as our own personal leaning towards
any of them specifically in terms of our nature and
talent.

Art Exhibition:
Fundraising Auction for SICA and
WSA
The Art Exhibition Organizing Team
is very happy to announce a call to
Subud artists with the purpose of
fundraising in support of our WSA
and SICA activities (25% of the raised
amount will go to WSA, and 75% will
go for SICA). At the same time, it will
be an opportunity to show and share
our work with participants at the World
Congress.
This is a ‘secret auction,’ and the
buyer will not know the identity of an
artist until the piece is sold. There will
be an opening night gala event for this
exhibition for all participants at the
World Congress.
What you need:
- You must have a connection to
Subud.
- Put your work on a matt board (rigid
media) that is 5 x 7 inches or 13 x
18 cm, using your preferred themes,
techniques or materials.
- Sign the back of each work rather
than the front. All the artwork will be
displayed anonymously. g
