The class will provide basic information about xeriscaping as a most effective approach to landscaping<br />

that optimizes the available water so that the landscape will be beautiful, practical, and low-maintenance.<br />

Participants will learn how to capture, re-direct, and use the available rainwater through the<br />

use of catchment, distribution, and creative landscape design, as well as use of permeable materials<br />

and native/adapted plants. It is possible to have beautiful, sustainable landscapes that minimize the<br />

use of extensive irrigation and high maintenance.<br />
