October 1, 2017-Route 21 Mass shooting at Mandalay Bay<br />
A mass shooting at a concert near Mandalay Bay where a man started<br />
shooting at the crowd from the building. He killed 50 people and injured more than<br />
500. While the shooting was going on, I was at home. I was sleeping in my bed at<br />
that time. My thoughts about it was that it was very sorrowful that so many people<br />
died. I reacted to the news <strong>by</strong> being heartbroken and a little shocked that it<br />
happened. I felt grief for the people who lost their close ones. It affected my<br />
thinking <strong>by</strong> distracting me <strong>by</strong> wondering why so many people had to die and why<br />
do people have to kill others.<br />
November 18, 2016, Donald Trump’s election<br />
In the 2016 presidential election, President Trump was elected. Trump was<br />
running against Hillary Clinton to be president. It was after school and I was at<br />
home. I just finished my homework, and I was watching Trump get elected on the<br />
TV. I was thinking why couldn't another person get elected instead of him. I<br />
reacted <strong>by</strong> being a little irritated and not liking Trump because of things he’d done<br />
and I don’t like him. I Still felt a little annoyed and mad at Trump. It affected my<br />
thinking about the world <strong>by</strong> making me think that the world is going to change too<br />
