DESSERT BAOS<br />

My love for baos knows no limits... And<br />

I’m super stoked to hear that some of my<br />

favourite Christchurch spots are adding<br />

dessert baos to their menus. Sister Kong<br />

recently introduced a lip-smacking Oreo bao,<br />

which perfectly satisfied my sweet tooth. I’m<br />

waiting with baited breath to see what they<br />

come up with next.<br />

A PERFECT PAIRING<br />

This month, diners from Auckland to Dunedin will be<br />

sipping on pinot and salivating over prosciutto. Chefs have<br />

been tasked with producing designer dishes to not only<br />

show off Italy’s favourite cured ham, but bring out the best<br />

in either Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir 2015 or Te Wahi Central<br />

Otago Pinot Noir 2015. Those in Christchurch can enjoy<br />

the resulting matches at Bloody Mary’s, O.G.B., Universo,<br />

JDV, Fiddlesticks or No.4, while for Queenstowners, head<br />

to Botswana Butchery, The Grille by Eichardt’s, Eichardt’s<br />

Bar, or The Spire.<br />
