WIT MEMBER WINS
VOLVO TRUCK
Tiffany Hanna, professional driver and trainer
at Prime, Inc. is now an owneroperator thanks
to the Women In Trucking Association (WIT)
and Arrow Truck Sales. Hanna was selected
from the applicants who submitted an essay on
the importance of attracting more women into
the trucking industry. “Women need to know
they can be successful in trucking and can do
the job just as well, IF not better, than a man,”
Hanna wrote. She has been an advocate for
female drivers at Prime, Inc. and serves on the
Prime Driver Advisory Board. She is also active
with the Highway Diamonds celebration hosted
by Prime, Inc. annually to honor their female
drivers. Hanna is a U.S. Navy Veteran, and the
mother of 5 children. She resides in St. Peters,
Missouri. She has been at Prime, Inc. since
2014 and a trainer for the past four years. In
addition to the 2014 Volvo VNL670 from Arrow
Trucks Sales, she received an extensive list of
products from WIT member companies.
SCHNEIDER PARTNERS
WITH TRAINCO TRUCK
DRIVING SCHOOLS
Schneider has partnered with Trainco Truck
Driving Schools to provide paid Commercial
Driver’s License (CDL) training for those interested
in a career in truck driving.
Schneider states it is making it easier for
someone to enter a career in professional truck
driving by providing the following all-expensepaid
course options with Trainco.
Three-week auto and manual transmission
class: Schneider and Trainco will get graduates
in the driver seat after three weeks, with the first
week being an auto permit assistance course
for those struggling to find time to receive their
permits. Tuition, transportation and lodging is
provided.
Two-week auto-transmission-only training
class: It’s time for manual clutching and shifting
to head on down the highway, and Schneider is
one of the few carriers able to guarantee drivers
are assigned an automated transmission truck
