IN THE SPOTLIGHT...
MAIZIE WALSH
MUSIC
Maizie Walsh was born in Beccles and
has continued to explore her passion for
music by studying a music performance
degree at Nottingham Trent University.
Before starting her course, she received
a diploma for Music Performance at
Access To Music - Norwich and has
played original material at various
events and venues around the Norfolk
and Suffolk area.
Maizie was also a part of the production
of The Harvest Moon Festival, a popular
family event held consecutively each
year at the Quay in Beccles.
She has also been a part of various local
drama productions including Rising
Stars presents ‘Les Miserables’, ‘The
Wiz’ and Spotlight presents ‘Oliver’.
Last summer she composed a song in
memory of her late uncle, Neil Aldred,
an established drum and bass producer
(DJ Dominator).
Since then she has collaborated with one
of Neil’s best friends from music school,
(a producer within the industry), Flat-T.
‘Resurrected’ has gained popularity
within the Drum and Bass scene
and writing this track, continuing its
production with Flat-T opened many
opportunities for her performance
experience at popular venues with
established artists, such as, Brixton
Electric and Boxpark Croyden, London,
with Azza and Grima, Logan D, Fatman
D, Heist, Majistrate, Niki blackmarket and
many more.
You can catch Mazie again at this years
Harvest Moon Festival on 11th August
2018.
She will perform a mixture of genres and
influences including, Pop, Dance, Drum
and Bass, Soul and Hip Hop.
