The Lido has a slide, springboard,
giant inflatable aquarun (daily
lunchtime sessions), outdoor
exercise equipment and a kiddies
adventure play area. There are lots
of grassy areas, sunloungers, tables
and chairs to relax on as well as an
all-weather eating and spectating
area. By the River Waveney, the
Lido enjoys stunning views across
the river and the Waveney valley
and its café serves hot and cold
snacks, drinks and ices. With lane
swimming until 10am and most
lunchtimes and evenings, Beccles
Lido is perfect for a swim or
family day out.

Following a huge fundraising campaign in 2017, the
Lido has been transformed with new toilets and a
re-landscaped patio area. The toddler pools have
also been completely revamped. If you would like to

If you prefer a lazy day, why not take a trip on Big
Dog Ferry, which runs passenger boat trips regularly
between Beccles Lido and Geldeston Locks Inn. It is a
relaxing 3 mile boat journey along the River Waveney with
the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife en-route – otters,
kingfishers and marsh harriers are all regular sights along
the river.
Disembark and enjoy a meal, a drink or music at The Locks
Inn or stay on board for a round trip. If you’re feeling
energetic you could take a one-way ticket and walk back
