the 1940’s and 50’s never going out of fashion, we catch up with Pocket
Watch & Petticoats owners, Sophia and Adrian, on how they are
taking over the streets of Suffolk and Beyond, one petticoat at a time!
What clothes can ladies expect
to find when venturing into your
boutiques?
The fashion of the 1940s and 50s was
incredibly elegant, feminine and showed of the
female form to perfection.
bursting with outfits for all occasions from casual
daywear to elegant evening attire.
What would you say to ladies that
have never worn this style before or
feel it won’t suit them?
We cater for ladies from a size 6 to 26 and the
ladies that shop with us are of all ages.
We have teenagers just finding their feet with
an individual style to Rock and Rollers in the
late 80s which remember this style the first
time around!
Swing dresses, wiggle dresses, high waisted
trousers or knitwear, pencil skirts, swing
coats… You name it we have it!
We like to keep our beautiful boutiques
We hear this on a daily basis but we encourage
everyone that ventures in to our boutiques to trust
us and step a little out of their comfort zone as we
know they will be blown away by the reflection in
the mirror once we’ve finished.
We have over 650 5* online reviews and visitors
posts which speaks volumes. Unlike nearly all High
Street stores, the waist lines on our garments are
positioned much higher which in turn normally
takes you down a dress size.
