Section 41 - HONEY<br />

RULES AND REGULATIONS<br />

1. All honey and beeswax must have been produced by the exhibitor within a 15 month period prior to entry.<br />

2. All honey must have been gathered and ripened in a natural way by honey bees.<br />

3. All extracted honey entries must be exhibited in 1 lb. glass or clear plastic jars.<br />

4. All chunk and finely granulated honey entries must be exhibited in glass or clear plastic jars of 1lb. or more capacity.<br />

5. All comb honey entries must be wrapped in clear cellophane or be placed in window cartons.<br />

Prizes: 1st - $4.00 2nd - $3.75 3rd - $3.50<br />

1. Entry Forms and more information for all events can be obtained<br />

through the University of Maryland Extension, Cecil County Office,<br />

in “4-H Talk”- June/July edition, or online at http://extension.umd.<br />

edu/cecil-county. MUST HAVE A TOTAL OF 5 PARTICIPANTS<br />

FOR EVENTS TO OCCUR.<br />

2. 4-H youth must pre-enter for the state contest unless otherwise stated.<br />
