HOW TO STOP THE WHEELS
FROM FALLING OFF WITH
CAR PARTS DELIVERY
SELLING parts and
accessories online
has proven to be a
profitable business
for many within the
motor trade. Plus, with the
rise of eBay and Amazon,
customers can now conveniently
purchase vehicle essentials
from online marketplaces
that offer great choice
on products and prices. So,
garages have steadily been
improving their online services
to match increasing
demand.
However, while the online
shopping experience matters,
businesses can’t afford
to get complacent when preparing
to send out customer
orders. With the weight and
shape of parts being so varied,
it’s easy to hit a snag
along the road of delivery.
Being aware of the common
pitfalls will help to avoid unnecessary
fees and ensure
the item ends up in the customer’s
hands on time and
in excellent condition.
Packaging priorities
As a starting point, make
sure your choice of packaging
is correct. Certain parts
will be bulkier and require a
stronger box than the cardboard
you might typically
use for smaller objects. For
those parts which are awkward
to handle, or are fragile,
pay extra care and attention
when wrapping. As a
general rule, it’s better to be
over-generous with internal
protection – plenty of bubble
wrap, foam padding and layers
of strong tape will hold
the box together and cushion
