Release Information Comm<strong>and</strong> introduced in <strong>Junos</strong> <strong>OS</strong> Release 11.2.<br />

Description Display information about the status of both member routers in an MX Series Virtual<br />

Assigned ID that applies to the entire Virtual Chassis configuration.<br />

Member ID assigned in the preprovisioned Virtual Chassis configuration, <strong>and</strong> the Flexible PIC<br />

Concentrator (FPC) slot range, including offset, for each member router in the Virtual Chassis.<br />

State of the member router:<br />

• Prsnt—Router is currently connected to the Virtual Chassis.<br />

• NotPrsnt—Router is not currently connected to the Virtual Chassis.<br />

Serial number of the member router.<br />

Model number of the member router.<br />

Metric used by the Virtual Chassis software for the mastership election algorithm.<br />

This value is assigned by the software <strong>and</strong> is not configurable in the current release.<br />

Role of the member router in the Virtual Chassis: Master or Backup.<br />

Chapter 14: Virtual Chassis Operational Mode Comm<strong>and</strong>s<br />

The asterisk ( * ) following the Role denotes the router on which the show virtual-chassis<br />

status comm<strong>and</strong> was issued.<br />
