Finally, it‘s here, let‘s celebrate! The new installment in the Tomb Raider series was revealed at last. Thanks to the Community Team of
Crystal Dynamics, Kronika Tomb Raider has this unique chance to be present at two of the reveal events for the game official revealing,
for the official fansites, a few of the chosen Tomb Raider fans who did win the contest, and the gaming press, of course.
Those events were held at London, Montréal, and Los Angeles; we had the chance to see the full announcement trailer as the very first
fans worldwide, we were presented about what this game means for the Reboot trilogy and game timeline, and—the best at the end—we
had our hands on the Shadow of the Tomb Raider massive demo version. This article is about to summarize the Montréal event and demo
impressions, as seen by Andrej.
But, first things first. The Canadian event was held, as we have mentioned already, in Montréal, where Eidos Montréal, the siste
ster r studio of
Crystal Dynamics, are located. Eidos Montréal is experienced a lot within Tomb Raider reboot, they have co-operated operated with CD on the de-
velopment of both Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015). But now with Shadow, they are taking the lead in develo
elop-
ment, so they are the main responsible for the game, with Crystal Dynamics working „in collaboration“. The event was held in the New
City Gas hall‘, which was changed to the part of the jungle, decorated with tons of plants, Mayan pyramids replicas, and Lara banners.
The proper jingle feelings were all over the place, deep bow before the managers of the event!
Event was held on:
NEW CITY GAS
950 Rue Ottawa
Montréal, QC
H3C 1S4

Just as we entered the hall, our eyes were caught by all the game editions displayed with their
complete descriptions, so my wallet is desperately empty... There is a separate article about
the editions included, so choose yourself—certainly, there is something that will fit you! No
need to mention the great free food and drinks provided to us, in Mexican style—but you are
not probably reading the article because of this :-)
But, I am pretty sure you will be interested in the announcement trailer, which is CGI made, as
seen in teaser already. If you didn‘t watch it yet, do it right now! It is full of actions, emotions
and showing us Lara full of the inner fire that wasn‘t here a looong time ago. Or, remembering
the final words of Camilla Luddington at the end of that trailer, she may be more than full of
this inside her. What will become from the innocent girl, who was playing with her fate to step
out from the shadow of her father‘s name? What becomes from her, trying just to survive,
save her friends and clean up her family‘s name? Those are the answers that Shadow is
bringing to us. She has dealt with a real hell... And hell is what she‘s turning into.

Hooray! Your file is uploaded and ready to be published.
