ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION<br />

Level 3 Entitlement or an Advanced Learner Loan may apply to you<br />

AN ACCESS COURSE HELPS YOU MAKE A FRESH START OR RETRAIN FOR A NEW CAREER. IDEAL IF YOU ARE AGED <strong>19</strong> OR<br />

OVER AND WANT A CAREER THAT BUILDS ON YOUR LIFE EXPERIENCE, OR YOU WANT TO GO TO UNIVERSITY BUT DON’T<br />

HAVE THE QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.<br />

The Access to Higher Education Diploma aims to build confidence, develop study and written skills and offers you the opportunity to improve<br />

your maths & English. On this course, you study mandatory modules and receive in-class tutorial support. You will also be expected to study<br />

further at home, alongside college attendance.<br />

You can choose to study full-<strong>time</strong> for one year, or part-<strong>time</strong> for two years starting in September, giving you the flexibility to study around<br />

existing work or professional commitments, or just in a <strong>time</strong> frame which suits you.<br />

We offer options in:<br />

0/6130/A8 – PRIMARY EDUCATION £3380<br />

You study Level 3 modules in Education Theory & Practice, Human Physiology and Psychology.<br />

This course can lead to university study in Primary Teaching, Childhood Studies or Education Studies.<br />

0/6130/A4 – HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE PROFESSIONS £3380<br />

You study Level 3 modules in Professional Health Care Practice, Human Physiology and Psychology.<br />

This course can lead to university study in Biomedical Sciences, Forensic Science, Clinical Sciences,<br />

Midwifery, Nursing (Child, Adult & Mental Health) or Radiography.<br />

On all courses, you study preparation for Higher Education, academic writing and study skills units.<br />

If you are aged <strong>19</strong> or over, then you may be able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.<br />
