July, August, September 2018 Iowa Nurse Reporter • Page 15 ANCC - Call for Commission Members Nominations due July 9, 2018 The Nominating Committee of the ANCC Board of Directors currently seeks nominations for appointments to the Commission on Accreditation (COA), Commission on Magnet® Recognition (COM), and Commission on Pathway to Excellence® (COPE), which serve as the governing bodies for their respective ANCC programs. The ANCC Board of Directors makes appointments in July for the term January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2022. (Please note that the ANCC Board of Director’s Nominating Committee may adjust the term of a specific seat so as to maintain an even distribution of new and seasoned commission members). You may apply to multiple commissions; however appointees may only serve one commission at a time. Orientation for all new commission members will be held on a date TBD in late Fall, 2018 at the American Nurses Association headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. Eligibility Registered nurses appointed to a commission must be full members of ANA throughout their tenure. Full membership includes ANA and State membership or ANA Only membership.
