Cultural Center Updates
The Cultural Center’s summer series is in full swing, with crowds
coming out to enjoy Beachin’ Fridays, the Mauldin Farmers
Market, and more. Beachin’ Fridays has welcomed a number
of beach bands to Mauldin, and the festivities will continue
every Friday through July 6th. Meanwhile the Mauldin Farmers
Market, sponsored by Bon Secours St. Francis Health System,
is off to a great start, taking place every Tuesday evening 5
to 8PM, June through August. Food trucks and beverages by
Growler Haus are present every week at both Beachin’ Fridays
and the Farmers Market.
In partnership with Musical Innovations, NAMM, and the
Mauldin Chamber, the Cultural Center will celebrate National
Make Music Day on June 21 at 6:30PM at the Mauldin
Outdoor Amphitheater. Guests are invited to learn songs
in a community ukulele circle, no experience necessary.
Ukuleles will be provided to those who don’t have one.
The Mauldin High School football team and their head
coach, Harry Cabiness, helped hand out flyers for our
summer events. Janice Holcombe helped organize the city’s
National Day of Prayer event and led the Memorial Day.
Greenville Concert Band also hosted an afternoon concert
with the City on May 20th in honor of Memorial Day.
