Celebrating Our 50th Anniversary<br />
In 1968, some fastener professionals in Southern<br />
California decided to get together and form the Los<br />
Angeles Fastener Association. About 25 years after that,<br />
the Western Association of Fastener Distributors was<br />
born. In 2009 LAFA and WAFD unified into what we now<br />
know as the Pacific-West Fastener Association.<br />
We celebrated 1968-style during the recent Spring<br />
Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona with tie dye, lava<br />
lamps, a groovy playlist of songs from 50 years ago, and<br />
a costume contest. Honorable mention goes to Suzy and<br />
Gary Cravens (Advance Components), Jennifer and Frank<br />
Hand (Fall River Manufacturing), and Joe and Jennifer<br />
Truckey (Cal-Fasteners), with first place honors going to<br />
David and Jennifer Palmquist (ND Industries).<br />
