ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The National Language Service (NLS) would like to thank the Western Cape
National Parliament, Western Cape Provincial Legislature, Eastern Cape
Provincial Legislature and other stakeholders from whom the project originated
for initiating such a wonderful project.
A word of special thanks and appreciation goes to the TCS colleagues, Ms
Oelofse and Ms Marais who perfected the source text by adding some
information that was ultimately incorporated in the list.
Many thanks go to collaborators in the provinces for their great assistance in the
finalization of the project. The collaborated groups comprised first language
speakers of the target languages, and also included linguists, language
practitioners, lexicographers, politicians, people from the Hansard offices as well
as people working in the legislatures. Their involvement was critical to the
success of the Multilingual Parliamentary/Political Dictionary.
The NLS would also like to extend a word of thanks to the Pan South African
Language Board (PanSALB) for allowing the various National Language Bodies
to authenticate the Parliamentary/Political terminology list.
The NLS would also like to acknowledge the contributions made by other
stakeholders.

not only attended the terminology meetings, but also prepared and committed
themselves to this project and worked tirelessly in contributing to the
