Lots of exciting things to report here at the Essentially
Local hub this time:
Land’s End to John O’Groats
I can’t wait to set off on my big adventure. This
challenge has brought incredible support from people
who have read my story.
I have a new level of energy and sense of
achievement, even though I’m not there yet! I’ve had
incredibly early starts to squeeze in my training and
made various excuses not to go out. I’ve learned that
you can fulfil your goal – define it, set a plan, find
some supportive people & believe that you can do it!
Thank you to:
Hello Readers...
The recent changes to the Essentially Local magazine
you even more! You can find:
This is a simple and easy to follow guide to local places
where you can eat and drink. Flick through to find out
what each establishment offers, opening times and
Bringing the Inside Out
Our resident interior designer Pip has found some
great ideas to create an extra room in your garden and
sunshine is on order! Pip’s suggestions mean you can
go local or do it yourself. See pages 42-43.
Celebrations
We’re so pleased to share some fantastic
achievements by local youngsters, as well as our local
businesses. See what the youngsters have been up to
on page 24 and businesses on page 28.
Art Competitions
essentiallylocal
It was our first Artists in Bloom Competition and you
will be able to see the entries at Stony Stratford Library
in August. The entries are beautiful. As several of you
said you needed more time, we promise to announce
2019’s competition at the beginning of the year!
Our next arty competition will be our children’s
Christmas Art Competition – now in its 4th year.
In the meantime enjoy keeping your business
