Empowering Youth and Communities
[EYC] Academy recently opened at 195
Lamp & Lantern Village in Town & Country.
EYC Academy was founded in 2014 by
a team of seasoned educators in St. Louis
to bring outstanding one-to-one education
to sixth- through 12th-grade students. The
new Town & Country location is owned
by Tammy Noel, who also owns Sylvan
Learning Centers in Ballwin, Chesterfield,
Eureka, St. Peters, Washington and Lake
Saint Louis. EYC educators help students
with everything from overall tutoring to
school credit recovery and summer test
prep. Physical and emotional therapists also
are available. Families in need of an alternative

inaugural cohort of Regional Food Economies
Fellow. Ragain is the director of
advocacy and research at Operation Food
Search, a nonprofit hunger relief organization.
Ragain was selected based on her
development of a new portfolio of innovative
food prescription program, Fresh Rx:
Nourishing Healthy Starts, which focuses
on improving birth outcomes for food insecure
pregnant women and their babies.

The Holocaust Museum & Learning
Center has named Fran Poger as its
next chair. Poger, who succeeds Myrna
Meyer, will start her term in September.
She began volunteering at the museum
in 2002. For many years, Poger taught
elementary school and served as assistant
principal, then principal at Spoede School
in the Ladue School District. The Holocaust
Museum is located at 12 Millstone
Campus Drive in the Kopolow Building on
the Jewish Community Center campus in
Creve Coeur. For more information on the

Travis Johnson as an insurance broker.

Manchester native Jennifer Snyder, DO,
is returning home to the St. Louis area to
join Julie Busch, MD; and Dermond Henry,
DO; of St. Anthony’s at Kirkwood Family
Medicine, 1001 S. Kirkwood Road, Suite
300. Snyder is a board-certified family
medicine physician. She earned her Doctor
of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City
University of Medicine and Biosciences
and is a member of the American Academy
of Family Physicians.
