113sqm home has recently been completed to<br />
the UK Building Code of R-3 walls, R-4 floor<br />
and R-5 roof – 250% above the New Zealand<br />
code. The UK code has since been upgraded<br />
to R-7 walls, R-8 floor, R-9 roof. New Zealand<br />
by comparison is 1.3 for the floor, 2 for walls<br />
and, in the coldest climate zone that we’re in,<br />
3.3 for the roof.<br />
