Radhakrishnan Nair N P On July 8th, Sunday the monthly meeting was held in which Principal Office Bearers President C. Srikantan Nair the new committee took over charge. During the taking over ceremony the President requested all members to cooperate and work for the betterment of Karayogam. Meeting concluded at 8.30 pm after vote of thanks and National Anthem. Halasuru The EC meeting of the Karayogam was held on 15-7-2018 at Karayogam Office. Shri Lohithakshan N.V. Joint Secretary of Karayogam called the meeting to order in the absence of the President and the Secretary. The meeting commenced with lighting of the lamp followed by Prayer, Acharya Vandanam. The members stood in silence for a minute in memory of those who laid their lives on duty and defending the borders / country and in memory of KNSS members who passed away recently. Shri Lohithakshan N.V. Joint Secretary informed that Mr. Rajendran Nair expressed his inability to continue as Vice President due to his personal reasons and submitted his resignation. After discussion the committee accepted the resignation. In the view of the ensuing AGM and other activities, the Committee unanimously co-opted Mr. Prathapan E as Vice President. He will occupy the position till the next AGM. Mr. Prathapan E chaired the meeting and welcomed all the EC members to the meeting. Shri Lohithakshan N.V. Joint Secretary read out the minutes of the last meeting held on 15-5-2018 and was adopted with corrections recommended by the Members. Statement of Accounts for the month of May -2018 and June - 2018 were presented by the Treasurer Shri K. Ravindran. The accounts were passed by the Executive members. The Treasurer also informed the Committee that the audited accounts for the year 2017-18 has already been submitted to the Board. The committee discussed the date of the AGM and members expressed their view on the matter. Mr. PKK Panicker expressed his view that Karayogam should conduct the AGM on or before August 12, 2018. Delay in conducting the AGM could jeopardise the Karayogam representation at the Board and the Karyaogam’s Board Representatives’ ability to be a part of the Board decisions, which will have impact in the next two years. The members debated the matter and finally decided to fix the AGM date on August 19, 2018 at our Karayogam office so that Karayogam can send nominations to KNSS Board well on time. M. PKK Paincker briefed the members about the Kelikottu held in June and also mentioned about the contribution of Rs.1,10,000/- from Halasuru Karayogam which could have been better. Members expressed the view that to get the youth involved more we should have a mentor and after discussion, Mr. Mohan Kumar was assigned the role to provide necessay guidance to the youth wing of the Karayaogam. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by Shri Lohithakshan N.V. Joint Secretary. P K Manoharan Nair, President presided over the meeting. Sri. G Mohan Kumar, Board Member of Halasuru Karayogam was the Returning Officer, and Sri. S R K Menon of Horamavu Karayogam was the Board Observer. Sri. Sanal K Nair, Secretary read out the 35th Annual General Body meeting minutes and Annual Report for the year 2017-18 which were approved by the AGM. Sri. V M Das, Treasurer presented Audited Accounts for the year 2017-18 and was approved by the AGM. Next agenda was the election/ selection of the new committee for the year 2018 - 2020.
