Once again, RISCO has won a PSI
Premier Award – this makes it five
years in a row, for which we are
absolutely delighted. The winning
entry is for the RISCO BWare
detector range
The awards are special as they are voted by
the installers of security systems and this is
the third year in succession we have been
recognised for ‘technological innovation’. As
RISCO works hard to be ‘ahead of the game’ in the
provision of cutting edge solutions, we were truly
honoured to receive the award on that balmy
summer evening at Luton Hoo. This accolade
simply would not have happened without our
industry colleagues that voted for us; we take this
opportunity to say, ‘THANK YOU’!
In 2018, RISCO Group celebrates its 40th
anniversary and the PSI Awards for the BWare
range is quite apt as the initial success of the
business was founded on the quality of our
detectors. This is a heritage that has underpinned
our growth as a business over the decades.
The BWare series offers a comprehensive
array of wired, wireless and smart Bus detectors
utilising RISCO’s industry-leading detection
technologies, such as Anti-Cloak and K-band
microwave for improved catch performance and
with an active IR anti mask.
Anti-Cloak Technology (ACT)
ACT radically increases catch performance in
situations for which the PIR signal becomes too
weak to detect an intruder such as when intruders
attempt to ‘cloak’ themselves or in a heatwave
when the room temperature approaches 37ºC.
K-Band Microwave
This dramatically reduces false alarms from the
microwave channel with reduced wall penetration
(“bleeding”) so that people walking in a corridor
outside the protected room do not cause false
alarms.
Convex Lens for enhanced performance
BWare’s convex lens is superior as its larger
size and convex shape allow more infrared
radiation to enter the detector. This efficiency
results in higher signal to noise ratio and
consequently an unprecedented levels of catch
performance and false alarm immunity.
RISCO Bus for faster, less costly installations
The BWare smart Bus models can be remotely
diagnosed and serviced when connected to a
RISCO hybrid security system, saving valuable
time and money.
Great aesthetics
BWare is not only superior in terms of
algorithms, optics and electronics design, but it
also looks better. These days, when interior
designers and home owners are very particular
about the looks of any element in the home or
office space, RISCO has invested in the design of
a contemporary and sleek shape.
In summary, the BWare smart detector
family provides installers with the flexibility to
utilise professional detectors in any installation -
