THE NEWBIE ’STACHE
“First off, there is no magic elixir to
accelerate facial-hair growth,” explains
Kristan Serafino, celebrity hair stylist and
men’s groomer. “It grows at the pace it
grows and no faster. It’s also a myth that
shaving more often makes the hair grow
back thicker, darker or faster.” To get the
newbie ’stache (this would be you with a
fairly new, just-building mustache):
1. Begin with a few days of overall growth.
This will give you a broader area to work
with when you begin to style and trim.
2. When you’re ready to shape the
mustache, use a clear shaving gel or
apply a little Every Man Jack Electric
Pre-Shave Oil around the lip area so
you can see what your edging.
3. As the mustache fills in, be certain to
trim any wild hairs that are not playing
nice with the rest of your mustache.
