Using a Computer to Make Number Grids
Students may learn a great deal about number patterns by making their own number grids
on a computer. This is a relatively simple process using a word processing package with a
table feature. For example, using the Microsoft Word package:
1. Click on the Table option on the menu bar.
2. Choose the Insert Table option.
3. Enter the number of rows and columns
desired. For example, 10 rows and 10
columns will produce a 100-square grid.
You may need to adjust the height and
width of the cells to enhance the
appearance of your grid.
