Kilmacolm Flower Show<br />

The annual Kilmacolm Flower Show will be held on Saturday 8th<br />

<strong>September</strong> in the Kilmacolm New Community Centre.<br />

Doors open to the public at 11.30am. Gardeners Question Time in the hall<br />

at 2pm will be a light-hearted attempt to answer your gardening questions.<br />

We are delighted that Alda and Johanne, treasured proprietors of the<br />

Cross Café, will be our guests of honour and will present the prizewinners’<br />

Trophies at 3pm. The Show then ends with the sale of cut flowers and<br />

produce, by donation. Entrance is free to members, £2 to visitors. Please<br />

come along and enjoy the colour and variety of the displays of Flowers,<br />

Pot plants, Vegetables, Homebaking,<br />

Children’s classes<br />

and the superlative entries in ‘Floral Art’.<br />

Next year is the 140th anniversary<br />

of the founding of the Kilmacolm<br />

Horticultural Society, we are one of<br />

the oldest societies in Scotland. A<br />

membership of £5.00 offers you entry to<br />

the Show, winter lectures, and information o n<br />

forthcoming Outings. Flower Show schedules for<br />
