2018 WYOMING NURSING SUMMIT & CONVENTION
I am excited for the new elections in Wyoming this fall. It will be intriguing to be informed on the
candidates’ platforms and the contribution to healthcare in Wyoming. I plan to serve the Wyoming
Nurses Association with the dedication that I have demonstrated in the past.
Treasurer:
Suzey Delger, MSN, APRN (RET), RN
Central Region
Casper, Wyoming
Current Position: Nursing Director, Eastern Wyoming College
Education:
• BSN 1975
• MSN 1983
What activities are you currently involved with or have been
in the past related to ANA or WNA?
I have been a member of WNA since 2014 and previously from 1975 to 1995.
I have served as the Vice President from 2015 to 2017.
What other professional organizations are you involved with?
• Sigma Theta Tau
• Phi Kappa Phi
What other elected, appointed offices, or community activities relevant to this position have
you been involved with?
I was involved with the Wyoming School Nurses Association for nearly 20 years, and served as Secretary,
Treasurer, President, and National Director.
What do you believe are the major issues before WNA, in particular to the position for which
you are a candidate? Include your goals and interests in this position.
My desire to serve again for WNA in a leadership role includes trying to do what is best for the
organization. I believe the greatest challenge our organization faces today is to make certain we are
representing Wyoming Nurses first and all Wyoming nurses. Our challenge comes in representing our
concerns at the National ANA level, that is why indeed we need to be visible and vocal at the national
ANA level. It would be my honor to serve this fine organization again in a different but critical capacity.
