Cobham Intermediate School students
have tested out the new hydroslide at
Jellie Park Recreation and Sport Centre.
Student Majenta Fasi said it was a lot of
fun. “I enjoyed how everything went, how
the lights kept repeating, it tricked my
mind. I really liked how it was indoor so I
didn’t get cold like the outside ones,” she
said. Fellow student Nathan Gardner was
also impressed. “It had awesome lights
on the inside of the hydroslide, and the
end was cool because the water goes
everywhere,” he said. City council head of
recreation, sport and events Nigel Cox said
the replacement indoor hydroslide would
be popular with children and fun-loving
adults. “The slide uses changes in lighting
to add to the excitement,” he said. Opening
hours for the hydroslide are from 3.30pm
until 6pm on weekdays and from 12pm until
6pm on weekends and public holidays.
