COMMON CIRCULATION
Escasez como motor de creatividad. La falta de espacios
y el desarrollo progresivo de las casas han
llevado a un amplio espectro de creativas y únicas
soluciones de circulación y acceso. Escaleras compartidas
y conectadas en todo tipo de formas y
diseños se encuentran en el barrio. Más allá de
facilitar acceso a los apartamentos en diferentes
nive les, estos espacios de circulación brindan territorios
compartidos para la apropiación e interacción
social.
La creatividad necesita espacios de apropiación.
Moravia ofrece una red de espacios flexibles,
abiertos a toda la comunidad para encuentros,
eventos y actividades culturales. Estos espacios se
comparten durante el día entre diferentes grupos
y cooperativas locales, como artistas, músicos o
grupos de la tercera edad. Debido a la carencia de
espacios en las casas, estos espacios compartidos
de uso flexible son sitios importantes para la interacción
social, la expresión cultural y la apropiación
creativa.
Los iconos de la interacción fomentan la identidad
local. Crisoles como el Centro de Desarrollo Cultural
de Moravia o las canchas, sirven como escenarios
de encuentro, aprendizaje e interacción social,
física y cultural en el corazón de la comunidad. El
fuerte carácter icónico de estos espacios fomenta
la identidad local y es de gran significado para los
Moravitas.

and the incremental development of the houses
have led to a wide range of unique and creative
access and circulation solutions. Interlaced and
shared staircases, in all kinds of forms and designs,
are to be found throughout the neighborhood.
Besides facilitating access to the flats on
different levels, these circulation spaces provide
shared grounds for appropriation and social
interaction
ESPACIOS DE USOS FLEXIBLES
SPACES OF FLEXIBLE USE
Creativity needs space for appropriation. Moravia
offers a network of multi-use spaces, open to the
community for meetings, events, and regular activities.
These spaces are shared throughout the
day by different local groups, such as cooperatives,
dancers and musicians, or senior citizens. Due to
the restricted spatial situation inside the houses,
these shared spaces of flexible use are important
venues of social interaction, cultural expression,
and creative appropriation.

CULTURAL CORES
Icons of interaction foster local identity. Hubs
like the Centro de Desarrollo Cultural de Moravia
(cultural center) and the canchas (sports fields)
serve as central venues at the heart of the community.
Besides offering professionally designed
and equipped spaces, they are crucial places of
social, physical, educational, and cultural interaction.
Their strong iconic character fosters local
identity and is of vital importance to Moravia’s
inhabitants.
