people 38 Vauxhall Motors appoints Stephanie Howson as Retail Sales Director Stephanie Howson has been appointed as Retail Sales Director for Vauxhall Motors, effective today. Stephanie joined Vauxhall in 1994 as an Aftersales Business Analyst and, from 2006, rapidly rose through the ranks of Sales District Manager, Regional Operations Manager, National Sales Manager, Marketing Programmes Manager and currently National Major Group Manager. Stephanie replaces Leon Caruso who has chosen to pursue an opportunity outside of Groupe PSA. Stephanie Howson said: “I am delighted to take up my new position as Retail Sales Director working with a great team and retailer partners to deliver our strategic PACE! plan. I wish him well for the future.” Martin Allies Joins SsangYong as dealer commercial manager Further strengthening its support to dealers, SsangYong has appointed Martin Allies to the position of dealer commercial manager for the South West region. Martin has been in the motor trade for 35 years, initially training as a motor technician before taking on after-sales, new and used car management roles with Fish Brothers Mitsubishi, CCMW Group and Baylis. “I am very excited to be joining SsangYong in what I see to be a transitional time for the brand - the product line-up is fantastic and there is a true opportunity, particularly with the Musso pickup,” says Martin. “We are delighted to have Martin join the team,” added Kevin Griffin, general manager, operations for SsangYong Motor UK, “where his frontline dealer experience will be invaluable.” FlexFuel appoints UK operations manager as it plans for rapid growth FlexFuel Energy Development UK (FFED UK), the UK’s leading hydrogen engine cleaning company, today appoints Karl Grogan as UK operations manager. Karl will be responsible for managing the UK sales team, major accounts, and overall operations. Earlier this year, FFED introduced its HY-Carbon solution - a hydrogen decarbonising process - to reduce engine emissions and fuel consumption and increase engine performance. By injecting hydrogen into the intake manifold, carbon deposits are eliminated from key engine components - the admission valves, the EGR valve, the turbo and the DPF. Commenting on his appointment, Karl Grogan says: “FlexFuel is a relatively new company to the UK, but with already impressive growth. In the few weeks the company has been in the UK, we have a national sales team covering the length and breadth of the country. The sales team is already selling at an impressive rate - in under six weeks, we have signed just shy of 20 garages. but I am confident we can do more.
